To the right is a banner I created for a school contest, where I designed a website banner for my school's newspaper website. Knowing that opening a newspaper gives the rich feeling of opening a new book and a beginning to new stories, I wanted to bring that out when a reader first opens the site.

 

I added a vintage paper background with serif fonts, giving the feel of looking at an antique newspaper and picking it up fresh from the stand. My design was chosen for display.
